Brett Richardson Counselling and Wellness Services
A true Mind, Body, and Spirit approach
Brett Richardson MEd, RCC, CCC, RCT
I have years of therapeutic experience, working in clinical and community settings, in addition to the work I have done in coaching and educational roles. I have worked extensively with LGBTQ2S+ communities; with people struggling with substance use and other addictive patterns; and with people dealing with grief, loss, and trauma.
I received my Masters of Education (MEd) in Counselling Psychology from University of Toronto. I am a registered counselling therapist (RCT) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
I am currently working on a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University, where I continue to study mental health and wellness from a sociocultural perspective. As such, I believe a crucial part of self-understanding, and thus self-empathy, is a life understood in social and cultural contexts.
