A true Mind, Body, and Spirit approach
I believe that happiness and wellness are best approached by truly addressing mind, body, and spirit. I believe that all lives should be understood by the contexts in which we are shaped. With an awareness of the cultural and normative pressures that impact us, I work from an anti-oppression perspective.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I am practiced in mindfulness and various meditative techniques, and I have also been a certified personal trainer and coach. Sometimes safe, honest and introspective conversation is all that is needed to move towards greater happiness, but often meditation, movement, and the cultivation of a somatic, body-centred, sensory curiosity can be powerfully transformative supplements on one's path towards self-care and wellness. I have years of therapeutic experience, working in clinical and community settings, in addition to the work I have done in coaching and educational roles. I believe that all therapeutic approaches tap into some basic and profound principles about how to apply greater wisdom in our lives. I see my primary role as helping to facilitate greater self-compassion, more effective and rewarding relationships, and to further the path towards meaning and fulfillment. |
CounsellingI am skilled and experienced in addressing a diverse range of challenges with individuals, couples and families. I have years of experience working within a variety of communities, including within LGBTQ2S+ communities, with those struggling with substance use, and those impacted by loss, trauma, and illness.

MindfulnessMindfulness and meditative techniques are a great supplement to traditional talk therapy, as they can greatly help facilitate self-compassion, self-awareness, and increased calm in stressful situations.

MovementSometimes there is no better or more direct way to improve mood and increase overall wellness than through physical activity. With my background as a coach and personal trainer, I am happy to explore with you the kinder, deeper, and self-sustaining motivations that may be going untapped or simply drowned out by the harsher, more punitive, and ultimately self-defeating voices that we often resort to for motivation.
